A Bondi+ programme on animal cruelty had been unfair with the Hunters' Federation, the Broadcasting Authority decided.
The FKNK said in a statement this morning that although the BA had decided its complaint had been justified, unfortunately, it did not feel the FKNK should be given any remedy.
The authority agreed that the ordinary viewer of the June 6 programme could associate hunting with animal cruelty when the law on animal welfare excluded hunting from cruelty to animals.
It decided that the inclusion of a feature on birds injured during hunting was not justified even if the producer had not intended giving this impression.
The FKNK said that the feature showed BirdLife employees, who, without any authorisation and in breach of regulations, exhibited injured birds, including one which could be hunted legally.
The FKNK said it had complained about this even with the police.
