German company Metallform is eyeing further growth in Malta, with a new plant and employees, after having taken on 50 new workers in the last year.

The company, which manufactures disposable medical equipment, has just built a 150- square-metre extension to its factory.

Managing director Ian Restall said the company was in talks with Malta Enterprise to join the two plants occupied by the factory and it planned to add a further 80 employees to its current complement of 200.

He was speaking during a visit by Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi to the Ħal Far factory.
