A couple who received a water and electricity bill of €3,665 this morning filed a judicial protest against ARMS Ltd, calling for an agreement on payment terms to be reached and holding the company responsible for any financial damages they may suffer.

In their protest, signed by Owen Bonnici, John and Alexandra Galea of Zabbar said they recently received three bills amounting to €3,665 in three bills after not receiving any bills since October 2009.

ARMS Ltd gave the Galeas them until October 21 to pay the amount due and warned them that unless all the amount was paid by then they would have to pay six per cent interest on the remainder.

The couple claimed that they had been calling ARMS' Customer Care Unit informing them they were not getting any bills for a long time but nothing was done by the company.
