Australian Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer Wayne Swan speaks on the latest Consumer Price Index figures in Sydney yesterday. The Australian Bureau of Statistics data showed CPI rising 0.9 per cent in the June quarter, with a headline inflation rate of 3.6 per cent over the year, both above the market expectations of 0.8 per cent and 3.5 per cent respectively.
