Two admit selling fake items

Two Senegalese men have been condemned to a suspended jail term of six months after a court convicted them of selling counterfeit sunglasses, wallets, belts and watches at Armier Bay last Tuesday.

Djily Gueye, 27 and Bassirou Ndiaye, 26, who live in Barcelona, admitted to selling the fake items.

The court condemned them to a jail term suspended for a year. Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona warned the two men that the jail term would become effective if they committed another crime anywhere in the EU.

agree 100% I find is appalling that some DVD rental shops give out copied discs quite openly, and on markets there are stalls selling counterfeit DVDs and CDs but no one seems to care.
