The Nationalist Party said this evening that it welcomed the fact that the will of the people on the referendum was respected today.
It noted that as soon as the referendum result became known, the Prime Minister had promised that the will be of the people would be observed. Today, less than two months on, Parliament approved the Divorce Bill through all stages with a two-thirds majority, the PN said.
It added that, in contrast to the PL, it always respected the people's vote.
"PN policy is to respect the will of the people," it said in a statement.
