WORRYING
That the rightist coward who murdered almost one hundred people in Norway listed the Partit Nazzjonalista as one of the organisations that has aims similar to his is not worrying, because the misconceptions of slimy racist filth are not issues to be too concerned about.
That the Partit Nazzjonalista felt obliged to clear its name is equally not worrying, when you see the three other organisations with which it was linked within the web of bottom-dwelling slugs that the cowardly thug inhabits, namely Imperium Europa, Viva Malta and Azzjoni Nazzjonali. Anyone with a decent bone in his or her body would run a mile before letting his or her good name be mentioned in the same sentence as that bunch.
What was worrying, and what goes some way to proving the point I made in the blog immediately preceding this, were some of the comments that followed the item where the Partit Nazzjonalista's denial of association was carried.
Someone who used to be identifiable as "Malsey" in vivamalta.org commented on Sunday at 19:23 that "He was not informed well. the nationalist party in Malta, is pro Islam, immigration and multiculturalism. Thank you Pn for stating the obvious" and in the same way his scribbling on that nauseating website used to be met with breathless approbation by Norman Lowell's sad acolytes, this coded dictum was met with the approval of at least two others, signing themselves Emanual Caruana and Joe Fenech on the Times' comment board
There were other, less worrying, comments, such as the ones which reminded us that another mainstream party, not the PN, had been given nods of approval from the sick right, without rebuttal, but the mere fact that some still fly their flag is enough to remind us that Norway is not that far from Malta.

Since my previous comment of the last para seems to have failed to make it onto the board, may i say that I find the last para shocking...

How predictably faux naive. Do you really think any PN decision-maker would be stupid enough to try to order the police to do their bidding? Doesn't make the police actions any less silly if, and that's a big IF, the charges or evidence are silly and that aspect should be examined carefully, but to point fingers like this is puerile.

I thought that ABC would be rushing back here, to publish a condemnation to what is happening between the Police and the Engerer family! But no, touch luck! Nothing doing!

Bocc, I think you should now look closer to home and really start worrying. I am referring to the puerile charges against Cyrus Engerer and the raid on his father's house and beach club. May I remind you also of the disgusting treatment of Harry Vassallo on the eve of the last elections. Is this what you and I fought for in the 70s and 80s? we are back to 80s. I hope you will speak up and condemn this terrifying state of affairs where opponents of the Party are humiliated. Are we in the EU or are we not?

Well, perhaps a reason that there's no sizeable far right party in Malta yet, as there is in practically every European country, is the lack of a leader with enough charisma. Because if you read to some of the comments on this web site, there's no doubt that there are plenty of people willing to believe that it's not their fault, but the fault of the EU, the Muslims, the Jews, the Freemasons, the foreigners from the north, the immigrants from the south or the little green men from Mars. Most of all, not their fault. If you look critically at the manifestos of far right parties, it always comes down to the same thing.
