• Sannat celebrates the feast of St Margaret today. Gozo Bishop Mario Grech will lead a pontifical concelebrated Mass at 9 a.m. The Missa in honorem S. Margaritae by Mro Charles Camilleri will be performed. Traditional horse and donkey races will be held at 2 p.m. The procession, accompanied by the Santa Margerita Band, starts at 7.45 p.m. The La Stella and Ite Ad Joseph bands will give a concert at StMargaret Square.

• The Bethel Charismatic Group will be holding prayer meetings at the chapel of St Anne, Dwejra Bay, San Lawrenz on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. and at the church of Our Lady of Pompeii, Victoria, on Saturday at7 p.m.

• The Leone Band of Victoria will present a repeat performance of Leone Goes Pop at Marsalforn Bay on Tuesday at 9 p.m. in aid ofArka Foundation. Entrance and seating is on a first-come-first-served basis.

• A diocesan Marian manifestation will be held in Valley Road, Marsalforn, on Thursday. Animated rosary starts at 7.30 p.m., followed by a concelebrated Mass by Mgr Grech.

• The Fundazzjoni Ta’ Klula of Sta Luċija will be holding an evening of country music in the village square on Saturday at 8.30 p.m., including the traditional four-course meal, Ikla tan-Nanna (grandma’s dinner). Tickets for the dinner, at €15 each, can be booked on 9984 0349 or by e-mail info@santalucija.com.

• A series of activities by the Xagħra council will be held in Victory Square, Xagħra, on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. The programme will start with Mass, with the participation of folk singing (għana), at the Basilica of the Nativity of Our Lady.

At 8.30 p.m. there will be the inauguration of an exhibition of military cars along Maria Bambina Street and 8th September Avenue.

Other events will include an exhibition of local crafts, a re-enactment by the Xagħra Historical Re-enactment Group, organ recital at the basilica, and a guided tour of the basilica. On the main stage at Victory Square, there will be a show by singer Glenn Vella, followed by a concert by the Australian rock band Rocatac. The activity comes to an end with a concert by Cash & Band.

• An exhibition of jewellery by Miroslava Rumenoff and photos by Elena Ermacora, entitled ‘Timeless jewels’, is on display at S’airam The Framing Professionals shop in Triq Qasam San Ġorġ, Victoria, until September 5. Opening hours are 8.30 a.m. to 12. 30 p.m. and 4 to7 p.m.

• The diocesan Eucharistic Movement will be holding a prayer evening at Xewkija parish church on Saturday at 8.30 p.m., followed by Mass at midnight.

• The traditional dinner in aid of the feast of St Lawrence will be held at St Lawrence Square on Tuesday at 9 p.m. Entertainment will be provided by Renee Formosa, Elaine Haber, Nicholas Haber, Roberta Sultana, Cherly Tabone and Spiru Sillato, among others. • ‘Opera vs Pop Under the Stars’ will be held at the Gozo Ministry’s courtyard in Victoria on August 1 at 8.15 p.m. Entry is strictly by reservation and can be booked on 9942 1611 or by e-mailing gozowindbandorchestra@yahoo.co.uk.

• The Gozitan Graduates Movement will hold First Friday Mass at St Augustine church in Victoria) on August 5 at 8.30 p.m. The celebrant will be the newly-ordained priestFr Franklin Vella. The sacrament of reconciliation will be available before Mass.
