As the swimming season came to an end, Neil Muscat has definitely come out tops in terms of records broken in the junior categories.
He made it an impressive haul of 26 new marks this season, with the latest additions being those in the 50, 100 and 200 back in the FISEC Games held recently in Portugal.
The young swimmer did 31.39 seconds, 1:08.11 and 2:18.13 in the one, two and four-lap backstroke races respectively, beating his own Group B previous bests by 0.26, 0.04 and 0.21 seconds, all obtained earlier this year.
In other events in this year’s FISEC Games, Andrea M. Agius won gold, silver and bronze in the 100, 50 and 200 breaststroke respectively, while Michael Umnov won gold in the 200 breastsroke.
