The filming of the children's television series Sinbad is being shot completely in Malta, leaving some €8 million in the Maltese economy.
The series is being produced by Impossible Pictures and is to be broadcast on Sky and BBC.
Visiting the set at Fort Ricasoli this morning, Finance Minister Tonio Fenech said that Malta was regularly attracting quality productions.
These could benefit from rebates of up to 22 per cent on the eligible expenditure.
The government was also investing in local talent through a number of specific courses and a film fund to help local productions.
Brad Pitt's World War Z and the Norwegian film Kontiki were shot in Malta in the past weeks.

The 13-hour Sinbad series is not a children's series and will not be shown on the BBC. It will only be shown on Sky in the UK and distributed by BBC Worldwide (the BBC's commercial arm) to international broadcasters.

well done to all those who worked on attracting such investment that will provide work for quite a number and inject money in our economy. In the past some productions left quite some havoc behind on site, lets hoe this time there is an improvement on that too!
