It is about time that three members of the Sliema local council decided who they represent.

Former mayor Nikki Dimech, Sandra Camilleri and now Cyrus Engerer, who were all voted in as representing residents with Nationalist Party leanings, have all parted company with the Nationalists but are staying on as independents (whatever that may mean). Turncoat Mr Engerer has even decided to join the Labour Party. I am sure Sliema residents who support the Nationalists want to see the back of these three, especially Mr Engerer who, while declaring that he will be joining Labour, calls himself “independent”.

Get out all three of you – the Sliema local council does not need you.
