Division One club 3CX Exiles will be in a position to continue with their team-building project this summer with the signing of a new sponsorship and the contract extensions of two of their best players – Alan Borg Cole and Timmy Sullivan.

This year, Exiles are sponsored by international telecommunications developer of Windows-based PBX software with Acunetix, 3CX.

Exiles are again playing in the top flight this year and have just figured in their first ever major final in 45 years of history after losing to Neptunes 9-5 in the KO final on Saturday.

“We are proud to have 3CX as sponsors. This agreement solidifies our position as a force to be reckoned with in the coming years,” club president Andrew Paris said in a statement.

“We have been developing our club mainly from our youth teams over the past few years and are now reaping the benefits of our policies.

“The 3CX and Acunetix sponsorship deal has allowed us to secure the clubs’ players on long-term contracts, with two of our national team players – goalkeeper Alan Borg Cole and captain Timmy Sullivan – signing four-year extensions to their contracts.”

Exiles added other players in their team, Julian Rizzo Naudi, David Pace Lupi, Kurt Griscti, Andrew Zarb Cousin and Kayne Lanzon, have also signed new contracts.
