6 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela preside over the Malta Community Chest Fund Board meeting at San Anton Palace, Attard.
Tuesday
10.30 a.m. The President receives Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi at the Palace, Valletta.
11.45 a.m. He receives Pierre Clive Agius, Ambassador of Malta to Belgium, on a courtesy call at the Palace.
Noon Mrs Abela presides over the Malta Community Chest Fund working committee at San Anton Palace.
12.30 p.m. The President is presented with a donation in aid of the Malta Community Chest Fund by Global Capital chairman Nicholas Ashford Hodges, CEO Bashar Khatib, and the board of directors, at the Palace, Valletta.
Wednesday
10 a.m. The President receives Herbert Messina Ferrante, president of the Assoċċjazzjoni Pensjonanti Anzjani Nazzjonalisti, on a courtesy call at San Anton Palace.
11 a.m. He receives this year’s Lifecycle participants on a courtesy call at San Anton Palace.
Noon He receives Maurice Cauchi, president of the Federation of Maltese Living Abroad, on a courtesy call at San Anton Palace.

10.30 a.m. The President receives the contingent of 80 members representing Malta in an international Scouts and Guide Jamboree on a courtesy call at the Palace, Valletta.

7.30 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception on the National Day of Belgium hosted by Belgian ambassador Jean Francois Delahaut and Mrs Delahaut in Madliena.

10.30 a.m. The President is presented with a publication entitled Maltese and other languages. A linguistic History of Malta by Joseph Brincat at San Anton Palace.
11 a.m. He is presented with documentation entitled Keep it Real by the team of the Diocesan Youth Commission (KDŻ) at San Anton Palace.
8 p.m. The President and Mrs Abela attend a reception on Egypt’s National Day, hosted by Egyptian Ambassador Abdelmawgoud Elhabashy and Mrs Elhabashy in Kappara.
