Allegedly, a substantial number of Malta’s former bus drivers failed to report for duty and therefore jeopardised the entire Arriva network, as well as their own career opportunity with a reputable European company.
Hence Arriva have got off on the wrong footing as a vast majority of Maltese residents (including myself) plus tourists were frustratingly inconvenienced.
I would appeal to one and all to be patient as Arriva will get this right as soon as humanly possible and will also address the rightful queries regarding appropriate size of buses on certain routes, additional services for presently overlooked towns and villages, etc.
Arriva have a customer care daily contact phone number plus web contact address. Obviously these are under constant siege. Meanwhile, however, they will all be noted and will be acknowledged in due course either individually or corporately.
Despite being under such present extreme pressure, I have yet to come across an impolite driver or inspector .
Arriva have addressed this crisis by immediately importing more drivers and senior staff from around Europe. Please commuters, despite present frustrations, allow Arriva to continue to achieve what we all anticipate and expect.
