Tarxien-based Gymstars Club will be holding their traditional international competition, the 12th in the series, the coming weekend.
The event, now a key fixture in the club’s annual sporting calendar, is open to teams and individuals.
This year, a record entry has been registered with clubs taking part coming from England, Scotland, Sweden, Germany and, for the first time, the Jordan Gymnastics Federation have also accepted to participate.
Athletes from Gymstars club, who are coming from a successful showing at the Island Games held recently, will represent the country in the competition which gets underway with an opening ceremony on Saturday, starting at 9 a.m.
In a statement, the Gymstars club also said that most of the foreign teams in Malta for the competition will be prolonging their stay to conduct a training camp here.
