The Oħloq Tbissima marathon, being held in the yard of St Joseph Home, St Venera, comes to an end at midnight tonight.

Oħloq Tbissima is a 60-hour live broadcasted marathon organised by Cam Production International, the production house within the Missionary Society of St Paul (MSSP).

Now in its ninth year, the marathon aims to create missionary awareness while raising funds in aid of the missions in the care of the MSSP, both locally and in Peru, Pakistan and the Philippines.

Locally, besides the work carried out daily at St Joseph Home, a residence for boys who cannot live with their natural family, a project named Independent Living Project is being undertaken. Part of the home is being set up to cater for resident children, enabling them to stay at the home even after reaching the age of 16.

Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. today, and will be broadcast on TVM, One, Net, Favourite TV and Education 22. Other activities throughout the day will include prayer, links with missionaries, discussions and games.

Local rock band Winter Moods will also be performing towards the end of the marathon.

To donate, call 5160 2004 (€10), 5170 2007 (€15), 5180 2009 (€25), or send an SMS to 5061 8099 (€4.66).
