Several studies have shown that there are risks associated with chlorinated water. Rising rates of asthma, airway irritation and allergic diseases are some of the main problems that may affect people when exposed to chlorine, be it in the water that we drink, in a hot shower, or in a swimming pool.

The worst thing is that chlorine has been classified as a carcinogenic (cancer-causing) substance. I, for one, would rather have my children risk a jelly-fish sting than the effects of a silent and invisible killer.
