Wine experience at Razzett l-Abjad
Patrons will be able to taste over 30 wines from various regions.
Seven wine masters will take part in this year’s P. Cutajar Wine Experience at Razzett l-Abjad in San Ġwann on July 18 and 19.
Patrons will be able to taste over 30 wines from various regions, including Burgundy, Piedmont, Puglia and Sicily.
A number of wine workshops lasting about 45 minutes will be organised during both days.
Representatives from Italian estates Bersano, Pasqua and Martini, as well as from France’s Grand Chais de France, Laroche and Bouchard Aine et Fils will also hold tutorials between 8 and 10 p.m.
Participants will taste a Nuits Saint-Georges or a Gevrey Chambertin from the 2007 vintage, a 2006 Pommard or Meursault, a 2008 Puligny-Montrrachet and a Pouilly-Fuisse from the 2009 vintage. The fine wine tutorial costs €20 (entrance fee included). This is the only tutorial with a booking fee.
P. Cutajar will also launch a new range of Sarosa wines from the Maria Rosa Winery, located in Mrieħel, limits of Attard.
It is a small family-run winery with 4.2 hectares of vines surrounded by agricultural land and growing Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Sirakuzan.
Wine production started in 2008 yielding 12,000 bottles. Bottling started in 2011 after letting the wine age in French oak barrels. The 2008 production is DOK certified.

The Wine Experience opens from 7.30 to 10.30 p.m. People under 17 will not be admitted.
Patrons will also have the opportunity to buy any ofthe wines they like, which can later be delivered to their homes for free.
