Police investigating car fire

A car fire in Luqa early this morning is being investigated by the police.

They said a Volkswagen Passat was on fire at New Street, Luqa at around 2.30 a.m. Although the fire was controlled by the Civil Protection Department, the car was extensively damaged and the facades of two nearby residences and another parked car were also damaged.

An inquiry is being held.

Its not the plstic that starts a fire. This is obvious since there is a police investigation on.

Newer cars? Passats have been around for these last thirty years or so. I think the insurers would have an answer to your question.
