Twelve young goalkeepers for Siena training camp

Twelve members from the Mario Muscat Goalkeeper School will be attending a training camp in one of the most renowned organi-sations for young goalkeepers’ training in Italy.

The camp will be taking place at Scuola Numero Uno in Chianciano, a province of Siena, bet-ween July 9 and 16.

This will be the fifth successive year that young Maltese football hopefuls will be attending a specialised training camp at the Siena school which attracts the best talent in Italy and is run by Giuseppe de Fidio.

The Maltese players will be accompanied by Mario Muscat and Simon Grech.

The training camp will also be an ideal occasion for the keepers in attendance as they will be showing their talents in front of various scouts and coaches from the top-flight in Italy.

Last season, Mattia Perin, an ex-student at the Scuola Numero Uno, made his debut in Serie A for Genoa.
