Dr ALEC MIFSUD and Dr JUDITH-MARIE MIFSUD
The marriage between ALEC, son of Mr and Mrs Saviour Mifsud of Tal-Virtù, and JUDITH-MARIE, daughter of Mr and Mrs Teddy Mifsud of Attard, took place on Monday June 6, 2011 at St Paul’s Collegiate Proto-Parish church, Rabat. Archbishop Paul Cremona celebrated, assisted by Archpriest Can. Louis Suban, Dean Carmelo Cefai, Rev. Prof. Emanuel Agius, and Fr Guido Schembri, OP. Witnesses were Dr Salvina Zrinzo for the groom, and Mrs Jacqueline Dalli, the bride’s sister. The groom’s uncle, Mr Joseph Cefai, was best man. Ms Annmarie Mifsud, the groom’s sister, was maid of honour, Ms Jeannine-Marie Dalli, the bride’s niece, was flower-girl and Master Valentin-Paul Cefai, the groom’s cousin, was ring bearer. Mr Andrew Mifsud and Mr Aaron Mifsud, the groom’s brothers, were ushers. A reception was held at the Portomaso Suite, Hilton Hotel, St Julian’s. The couple spent their honeymoon in New York and Jamaica.
Obituary
ANDREWS. On July 1, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, CHARLES, aged 96, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his daughters Dorothy and her husband William, and Margaret, his son Andrew and his wife Angele, his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The funeral leaves St James Capua Hospital on Tuesday at 8 a.m. for St Aloysius’ College, Birkirkara, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment at Mosta cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be appreciated. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
BHARWANI. On June 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, TIKAMDAS (TIKAM) JHAMATMAL, aged 84, passed peacefully away. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Radhika, his children Nimoo and her husband Ramesh, Anita and her husband Kishore, Angela and her husband Tony, Shirley and her husband Steve, Susan, Michael and his wife Christine, Simon and his wife Isabel, his grandchildren Tina and her husband Nitesh, Ravi, Giresh, Charishma, Nanik, Vivek, Sharon, Yanika, Yasmine, Zak, Neeraj, Hannah, Vinay, Thea-Alisha, Lisa-Joel and Amy-Diya, family friend Rosette, relatives and friends. A memorial service will take place tomorrow at 10.30 a.m. at Ta’ Braxia Cemetery, Pietà. A private interment will follow. Lord, grant him eternal rest.
SCIBERRAS. On July 2, at Villa M. SSma Annunziata, Sr VITTORIA (Antonia) Sciberras of the Sisters of Charity, aged 69, passed peacefully away to meet the Risen Lord comforted by the rites of the Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity, her sister Michelina and her husband Rosario, her brothers Albert, Andrew, Agostinu and their respective wives, Nina, Margaret and Maria, her sister-in-law Jane, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be celebrated today at 9.30 a.m. at the chapel of the convent of the Sisters of Charity, 55 Birbal Street, Balzan, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
VELLA MORAN. On June 28, at Mater Dei Hospital, PAULINE of Għaxaq, aged 79, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughters M’Anne and her husband Joe Calleja, Connie and her husband John Abela, Josette and her husband Mario Bondin, her grandchildren Vanessa, Louis, Ivan, Beverley, Paul, Christa and Nikolai, her great-grandchildren Kylee and Alessandro, her sisters-in-law Marija Zammit and Costantina Grech, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. The funeral took place on June 29. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
