Snoop Dogg, who has not enamoured himself with journalists over the past couple of days when he made them wait for hours, kept a whole concert arena in limbo yesterday after failing to turn up on time.

This time, however, it was not his apparent need for rest that was behind it: his band had missed a connecting flight after an emergency landing, a source said.

The verdict was still out last night on whether he was worth the wait but the crowd, over 40,000 strong, had a great night out at the Isle of MTV concert at Floriana granaries.

Chart-topping LMFAO and hip-hop and pop band Far East Movement followed Parade on stage before rapper godfather Snoop Dogg wrapped up the evening to acclaim...although his language would not have gone down well at the church opposite.
