Marsaxlokk may have lost valid midfielders Rumen Galabov and Gareth Sciberras and prolific striker Alfred Effiong in the transfer window but this week the club from the south started their rebuilding process to add more options to new coach Winston Muscat.
Marsaxlokk’s major coup was to convince winger Emiliano Lattes to accept their terms and turn down Floriana’s offer, the other club seeking his signature.
The Argentine, who played for Birkirkara last season, signed a one-year contract late Tuesday.
He will form part of the Blues’ foreign contingent that will again include Florent Raimy. The French midfielder has agreed to extend his stay by another season.
Another new member in Muscat’s squad will be defender Patrick Borg.
Borg was part of the deal that took Sciberras to Birkirkara.
