Corito vs Welton at the Orpheum on Friday

Maltese heavyweight Billy Corito will be in action again on Friday when he fights against another English boxer after knocking down Marc McGarry in the first round earlier this year.

This time, ‘The Hitman’ will be up against Scott Welton who currently holds the EBF belt for the class.

The fight will be staged at the Orpheum Theatre, Gżira, where Welton will be looking to halt Corito’s winning streak of six fights, all won won by a knock-out.

Another interesting fight will be between Dione Galea, 35, and Wayne Roberts, a 26-year-old English boxer. There will be another four supporting bouts on the night, all involving Maltese boxers.
