Man pleads not guilty to injuring 9-year-old boy
A 34-year-old man from Qormi was this morning granted bail against a deposit of €1,500 and a personal guarantee of €5,000 after he pleaded not guilty to seriously injuring a nine-year-old boy.
Brian Vella also pleaded not guilty to threatening to use violence against the boy last May at the boy's mother house.
The locality of the house and any details which could lead to identification of the child cannot be given by court order.
The man was ordered not to speak to the boy or go to the mother's house.
