EU feedback on national energy plan

On May 24, 2011, Malta submitted clarifications requested by the EU’s Director-General for Energy on the National Plan for Alternative Energy. The clarifications had been requested on February 9.

Resources Minister George Pullicino said this in reply to a parliamentary question by Labour MP Leo Brincat, who had asked if the government had received any feedback from the EU on the latter’s evaluation of the plan.

The plan had originally been submitted in July 2010.

Minister Pullicino said the clarifications given required no changes to the plan’s aims. The request for them had been a part of the EU’s evaluation process.
