Rockestra, the charity concert where rock meets classical music, will be held at the MFCC in Ta’ Qali on September 3.

The concert will offer the audience a range of songs from the work of established rock bands such as Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Pink Floyd and U2, President George Abela said during the press launch yesterday.

Aimed to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund, the musical arrangements will once again be organised by Mro Sigmund Mifsud who will be directing the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra.

Dr Abela said Rockestra created a platform for local talent, giving artists the opportunity to perform before an audience of around 10,000.

Tickets for the concert may be bought from www.rockestra.org.
