The fourth edition of ‘Leone Goes Pop’ was recently held at Independence Square, Victoria.
The concert, directed by Colin Attard, took the big audience on a musical journey that started with a pop version of Beethoven’s theme from the 5th Symphony and continued from one decade to the other, covering almost100 years of music.
Among others, the concertfeatured all-time classics likeYellow River, What a Wonderful World, Hello Dolly, Hold Me Now, Billy Jean, The Devil in Disguise and The Show Must Go On. Singers Mario Caruana, Neville Refalo and Thea Garrett took part.
The concert, choreographed by Deborah Agius and Joeline Tabone, also featured a set of spirited medleys by Bon Jovi and Frank Sinatra, 1960s music, acollection of Italian music and Lady Gaga songs.
