Conti was entrusted with the painting of the dome, ceiling and apses of St George’s Basilica between 1947 and 1958.

Showcased are also a hand-signed Christmas card sent by Conti to his friend and pharmacist George Galea and other exhibits related to the artist and his work at St George’s Basilica.

A colour leaflet, featuring an artistic analysis of Conti by Mark Sagona, was published by the Gozo Culture and Information Office. This is available from the exhibition hall.

The exhibition is open until Thursday between 8.30 a.m. and noon.
