Obelisk Auctions Gallery will be holding its third auction at the new premises at Villa Drusilla, Mdina Road, Attard next week.

The auction comprises a collection of private entries consisting of 17th- and 18th-century old Master paintings, antiques and fine arts.

Among the items up for auction are Maltese furniture including a pair of rare chests of drawers circa 1820, European furniture, maps of Malta, Melitensia (out of print), silver, maiolica, china, glass, a collection of gold and silver, and jewellery.

The auction also includes a remarkable collection of Maltese modern art including paintings and works of art by famous artists including W. Apap, V. Apap, G. Vella, A. Agius, P. Carbonaro, M. Cremona, P. Berrisford, G. Fenech, A. Camilleri, J. Briffa, E. Barthet, J. Spiteri Sacco, V. Diacono, J. Calleja, H. Alden, Gabriel Caruana, V. Pasmore, K. Holmes, E. Cremona, G. Hyzler, G. de Pass, S. Bugeja, A. Micallef Grimaud, R. Mussolini, among others.

The art lots were catalogued by professional consultants and price estimate guidelines will be provided to clients during the viewing days of the auction.

Also included in the auction are American classic cars namely a 1955 Ford Thunderbird, a 1965 Ford Mustang and two Wrangler jeeps.

Viewing times: From tomorrow till Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 8 p.m. and mornings of auction from 10 a.m. till noon.

The auction will take place next Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 2.30 p.m.
