The GRTU is confident that a solution will be found to the Sliema parking issue.

It has been announced that 62 parking spaces next to the Ferries are to be replaced with bus lanes after Arriva had to reroute its service when Bisazza Street was pedestrianised.

The GRTU said this evening it discussed the issue with Resources Minister George Pullicino this morning and it was confident that, with enough good will from all public authorities involved, a solution could be found.

It said it was confident that a practical solution would be a boost to business in the area.

The chamber appealed for the Prime Minister's intervention so that the matter is resolved quickly.
