France is pushing for Russia to join the World Trade Organization by the end of the year, French Prime Minister Francois Fillon said during a visit by his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin.

“On European questions, I’ve reiterated my support for Russia to join the WTO before the end of 2011,” Mr Fillon said at a joint press conference.
