I refer to the complaint lodged by Raymond Fenech in his letter Vital Communication Line Out Of Order (June 11).

Go informs readers that the problem was due to a line fault on the telecare service of Mr Fenech’s elderly mother. Immediate action was taken upon receipt of the report and the Go technical team concerned turned up promptly on site to clear the fault. Unfortunately it took slightly longer than normal to restore the service as a cable fault was subsequently detected and so a specialised team had to be called in.

Nevertheless the problem was quickly solved – in fact the subscriber’s service was already restored by the time the letter was published on June 11.

We take the opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused. As always, Go takes note of the suggestions brought forward by the customer so as to continuously improve its level of service.
