The Maltese Diabetes Association is organising a seminar in a series of Living with Diabetes seminars aimed at increasing awareness on diabetes and to help those living with diabetes to learn more about their condition.

The next seminar will be held on July 2 at 9.30 a.m. at the Catholic Institute, Floriana. The seminar will be addressed by two renowned international experts in the diabetes field: Trisha Dunning of Australia and Anne Marie Felton of UK.

Prof. Dunning, a professor of endocrinology and diabetes nursing research, diabetes nurse educator and vice-president of the International Diabetes Federation, will deliver a talk on ‘Managing medicines safely: a key part of diabetes self-management’.

Mrs Felton, a vice-president of the International Diabetes Federation and co-founder and president of the Foundation of European Nurses in Diabetes, will talk about ‘The importance of blood glucose monitoring’.

The public, members of the medical profession and me-dical students are encouraged to attend. Entrance is free. Refreshments will be served.
