Performance
The version tested was a 1.6 petrol. We never intended to go racing, but the car was responsive and very economical.

Funky
Mixed feelings on this. Ford provide a total of 12 colours. Certain colours like ‘blazer blue’ are rather conservative. However, ‘mustard olive’ does make the car look funky.

Quality
Ford has long been a believer in quality control and it is something taken for granted.

Handling
The fact that the standard version has sports tuned suspension says it all.

Practicality
The five door, hatchback version with its generous load space gives the car an added sense of practicality.
