Two mine countermeasure vessels, HMS Bangor and HMS Brocklesby, will call into Malta on Sunday for an operational stand down.

The British High Commission said both ships have recently been deployed on operations supporting Nato forces off the coast of Libya, to enforce UN Security Council Resolution 1973.

HMS Brocklesby will depart on Wednesday and HMS Bangor on Thursday.

Both ships will be berthed at Pinto Wharf. They will not be open to the public.
