About the fire fighter I do agree they should make sure they wear the fire kit. On the pictures we can see 1 firefighter tackling the fire while the other is with the appliance monitoring the hose and the water. BA not always neccessary especially outside. Depends on circumstances.
What I can't understand is that you won't see a Police. In that situation the road had the be cordoned so no traffic will go near and also for the public especially us the Maltese. We always like to be TOO close to witness what is happening. Maybe also the Police was going by foot?
Please Police start acting.

Why is only one firefighter with his full gear?
Should something happen such as the petrol tank rupturing, there will be a sudden fireball that will definitely injure the second firefighter!
Also, there should be police assistance as the bystanders seem rather close to the burning car.
Or is this a case of Only In Malta?

Amazing how it just refuses to extinguish, no matter how much stuff he throws at it.

Good job well done, but hey, fighting a fire and going round a potential fuel bomb in just a tee shirt and a helmet, shows us how unprofessional this nation is.

always the same here in malta judging from behing the monitor and everyone thinks he`s an expert. shame on everyone who make comments on our firefighters. they are all brave men and know exactly what to do as yes they are professionals. the one who is not wearing a helmet as you can see is the pump man who is in charge of the water pump and if something happens to his fellow colleague he would have helped him immediately.

Judging from the video clip how come people were allowed to stay close to the burning cars when a fuel tank could have exploded it would have been a bigger tragedy! And why is it only one fire fighter was in full fire kit? If his colleague need his help he would not be able to help him! Is this Maltese Health & Safety? well done as it says ONLY IN MALTA

It happens. A few weeks ago, I was two cars behind one that had more and more, gradually darkening smoke coming out from underneath the bonnet. The next day, there was an article on the Times of Malta web site, that a Fiat Uno had caught fire and completely burned out.

i dont agree dont the fire fighters know that this kind of smoke is not good for health dont they have the BA why dont they use it maybe to get some injury on duty with the smoke they inhale.
Shame on the CPD not using the BA

Oh please, just stop these type of comments!
Everyone wants to be the expert from behind the keyboard, maybe if it was your car you would have stopped him from putting out your car and tell him to go put on the BA!
Well done CPD, dont mind comments like these.
