Gasan Enterprises Limited and the technology, electronics and communication section of the General Workers Union have signed a new collective agreement covering the period 2011-2015.

The salient aspects of this agreement include performance related pay principles; the introduction of rosters and extended working hours in the after sales sections; the removal of half-days in August; the introduction of departmental collective performance bonus schemes; and various other initiatives. Other clauses, such as new training policies geared to ensure the ongoing development of staff and equal opportunities and harassments aspects, are also included in this agreement.

The agreement was signed by Andrew Mizzi (GWU section secretary) and Gaetano Dimech (workers’ representative), on behalf of the GWU and by David Gasan (managing director) and Joseph Farrugia (manager – human resources and dealer standards) on behalf of Gasan Enterprises.
