Malta Enterprise and the Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Business Co-operation in Valencia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to promote business relations and investment.
Known as MEDVALENCIA, the centre consists of the Valencia regional government, the Confederation of Employers and Industries of Spain, and the Confederation of Employers and Industries of the Autonomous Region of Valencia, CIERVAL.
The organisations agreed to organise investment related visits, seminars, training courses and workshops in Malta and Spain; encourage networking and synergy between Spanish and Maltese companies; and to promote exchanges and co-operation in various sectors.
They also agreed to exchange information on investment opportunities and trends to facilitate increased cooperation between private sector companies, and identify suitable joint venture partners for the purpose of joint foreign direct investment opportunities.
Malta Enterprise executive chairman Alan Camilleri announced that Malta Enterprise is to appoint a regional leader who will be focusing specifically on Spain in the coming months, thereby providing a more directed approach targeting the Spanish market.
