Head of Finland Trade Centre in Milan to visit Malta

Marjaana Karjalainen, the head of the Finland Trade Centre in Milan (FINPRO) will be visiting Malta on Tuesday and Wednesday at the invitation of the Scandinavian Business Forum Malta.

Mark Fenech, chairman of Scandinavian Business Forum Malta, said that during her brief visit Ms Karjalainen is expected to meet with officials from the IT Ministry, Malta Enterprise, Finance Malta, the Malta Communications Authority and other organisations from the local media and telecoms sector.

Apart from running FINPRO in Italy, Ms Karjalainen is responsible for developing new co-operation opportunities in the telecom/media/software business for Finnish companies and will be travelling to Malta with a view to understand better the local market trends and potential partnering opportunities between Maltese and Finnish companies. She is also currently working on client interface with Finnish software, telecom and digital media companies interested in the Western European and Northern African markets.
