The Star Reward Trust Fund is considering extending its reward to anyone who comes up with information on the death of the three dogs found tied to each other in the sea off Marsalforn yesterday.
The reward was launched after the mixed breed bitch nicknamed Star was bound, bound, shot and buried alive, near Ghar Hasan in Birzebbuga.
The fund is promising to reward anyone coming forward with information leading to the conviction of whoever committed the atrocity against Star. The organisers are now considering extending the reward to the the case of the three dogs found in the sea yesterday.
Should no one come forward with information, the funds would be donated to nine animal sanctuaries.
The Trust Fund's appeal for donation has so far raised over €5,000.
The award may be presented in confidence, through the police, if the safety of the informer needs to be protected.
Two of the persons behind the fund, Roberto Calleja and Moira Delia, said donations are being received from individuals and companies.
Should no one come forward, or the police themselves manage to trace the culprit/s, the funds would be donated to AAA, Noah's Ark, SPCA Malta and SPCA Gozo, Happy Paws,
The sanctuaries are the trustees of the fund.
