A father and son, crewmen on a trawler, admitted in separate cases in court today to having stolen fish to the detriment of their employer.

Leonardo Ferrigno, 35, an Italian who lives on the trawler Hannibal, admitted to stealing fish worth some €250 to the detriment of Azzopardi Fisheries.

His father Salvatore Ferrigno, 62, admitted to similar charges.

Some four thefts took place, with the fish then being sold.

Both men were conditionally discharged for two years.
