Obituary

BONELLO. On June 10, JOAN, aged 90, widow of Godfrey, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her daughter Stephanie and her husband George Fenton, her son John and his wife Karin, her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, her brothers and sisters and their spouses and her in-laws, the rest of the family and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8.30 a.m. for St Julian’s parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 9.15 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. BRADLEY. On June 1, at Mater Dei Hospital, DENNIS, has now joined his beloved Anne. He will be much missed by his children Sara and Antony, granddaughter Lara, exten­ded family and friends, both in the UK and here in Malta. The funeral will be held on Tuesday at 2.30 p.m. at Naxxar cemetery. No flowers please, but a donation to Hospice Malta, Balzan, who took great care of both Anne and Dennis, would be much appreciated.

DEBONO – THOMAS. On June 10, aged 63, passed peacefully away, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Anna, his son Johann, his sisters-in-law, Irene, widow of Maurice, Pat, widow of Stephen, his brothers, Reginald and his wife Apollonia, Malcolm and his wife Margaret, Daniel and his partner Angie, his sisters, Rose and her husband Domenic Pool, Antoinette and her husband John Attard Kingswell, his mother-in-law Gemma Azzopardi, his sister-in-law, Sr Rosita of the Sisters of St Joseph of the Apparition, his brothers-in-law, Fr Cecil, SJ, Ray and his wife Anna, Joseph and his wife Miriam, Frank and his wife Anne, Bernard and his wife Rita, his nephews, nieces, relatives and numerous friends. Mass will be celebrated today at 2 p.m. at Marsascala parish church. Lord, grant him eternal rest, together with his parents Jane and Jimmy and his brothers, Maurice and Stephen.

FORMOSA. On June 11, RACHEL, aged 84, widow of Michael, passed peacefully away comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Victor and his wife Mary, Lina and her husband Alfred Calleja, Natalino and his wife Evelyn, Miriam and her husband Tony Porter residing in Canada, Amelia and her husband Pierre Camilleri, Imelda and her husband John Balzan and Sonya and her husband George Xerri, her sisters Gina, widow of George, residing in Canada, Gemma and her husband Vincent, her brothers Abel, widower of Alice, and Ismael, widower of Nina, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in Malta and Canada, relatives and friends. On June 10, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARIO ANTHONY (ex. assistant director, Customs Department), aged 71, after a long illness borne with Christian fortitude, passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Marie née Spiteri Ganado, his children Adrian, Peter and Nadia, Maureen and Michael Gavre, his beloved grandchildren Adrian Scott, Gabriel Alex, Matt and Tara, other relatives and friends.
