A 20-year old Maltese-British woman was airlifted to hospital by an Armed Forces of Malta helicopter after she was injured when she jumped into the sea at Cominotto yesterday.

She is in a stable condition.

The AFM said the woman, Sarah Calascione, resides with relatives in Għarghur.

Before being airlifted to hospital, Ms Calascione was given first aid by friends.
