Danish planes running out of bombs
The Danish military forces operating in Libya are running out of bombs for their F-16 fighter jets and have asked The Netherlands to help replenish their stock, a report said yesterday.
“The Danish F-16s are about to run out of bombs to continue to attack Libya,” the Politiken daily said, citing unnamed defence sources.
“The Danish military has therefore asked Holland for help,” it added.
A spokesman for the Danish military’s logistics division did not confirm the report but said his department was speaking to other coalition partners about supplies.
“It is our job to always support operations in the short, medium and long-term and we always have a close cooperation with our F-16 partnership countries, in particular Norway and the Netherlands,' Anders Paaskesen of the Danish Defence Acquisition and Logistics Organisation said.
Denmark was one of the first countries to offer air assets for the international air campaign to protect Libyan civilians from Col Gaddafi’s forces.

@Alfred Farrugia
You should have addressed your question on the arms bill to despot Gaddafi and his crumbling regime!
He may wish to satisfy your curiosity by confirming the billions of dollars squandered on all sorts of lethal weapons to enforce his ruthless and bloodthirsty rule over his oppressed people!
The truth is out now!
The thousands of armoured tanks, warplanes, missiles, heavy artillery vehicles, mine-layers, gunboats, grad rockets, hired mercenaries from Sudan, Chad, Algeria, etc must have cost something! Don't you agree, dear Alfred Farrugia?
The irony of it all is that tyrant Gaddafi abused of his people's money not for defence purposes but to SLAUGHTER his own countrymen whose only fault was to raise a cry for freedom, human dignity and social justice!
Could he have spent all this money otherwise, speaking of peace and people's welfare?!
Now what about a decent question regarding Libya's future once rid of the Gaddafi scourge?

Can the Danish government let us know what was the cost of its country’s contribution to the war in Libya so far? Is it possible that the same amount of money could not have been spent on Libya in a better more productive and peaceful way for the benefit of all the people of Libya? Is it not ironic that Denmark placed 4th in this year’s Global Peace Index while it participated in the destruction of Libya under a flawed UN Security Council resolution?
Is the present war in Libya a classic example of NATO’s “partnership for peace”?
Can Robert Gates explain what is the NATO doctrine before he leaves office, and let us know how it is possible for a NATO member, Turkey, to be allowed to occupy a third of the island of Cyprus with impunity for 36 years? Is this what NATO is about?

I wonder how loud you would shout if Gaddafi decided in his usual eloquent way to invade Malta? would you be screaming so loud then? clearly with such a short memory you have forgotten Lockerbie and the slaughter of innocents? And you seem also to forget the rape and murder of the people of Lybia on Mummars orders, and of course lets forget the mercinaries he hired to kill his own people. i Met a Maltese who worked in Lybia and he felt disgusted by the way ordinary people scraped a living while the Elite lived like kings..
And when does your history of Cyprus start?? 1963 or the more popular 1974.. you are of course aware that Cyprus was never a Greek island at any time in history or that Greece refused on two occasions to accept the island.Greece also invaded Cyprus and overthrew its elected government... it is a very twisted history of that island...

Can you imagine the bombings the Libyans have had to endure and whilst NATO would have us believe these are magic bombs which do not kill civillians and hurt them, I do not believe in such ridiculous stories. The city of Tripoli has borne the brunt of the bombs. Schools the univerity, hospital, homes, clinics for disabled, the central library and the tv station have all been targetted along with trying to killl Gaddafi with bombs. D, Uranium is used on the city aswell causing the future children to be born deformed as in Fallujah. WE must not forget the three grand chilren of Gaddafi and his youngest som killed by NATO. The Bishop of Tripoli was there at the funeral and after they were buried, the story was conveniently buried by a story of Bin Laden's capture and burial at sea.
These children were babies and only tiny tots. Gaddafi went out to feed his grandchildren's pets and escaped the blast. Their bodies where in pieces and some pieces remain still in the rubbles. They gathered up the pieces of the children to bury. The grandmother says life is no longer worth living.
The number of civillians killed is about 800 and the wounded 4000. Soldiers legitimately fighting rebels and under NATO's unilateral war against Libya are making that figure much higher creating widows and orphans.
This is a war of lies against Gaddafi and Libyans and a real affront to human decency. Please pray for Libya and God will show you in your heart the truth that NATO is an evil greedy aggressor.

@Ursula Riches
And what about Mis(u)rata, Benghazi and other towns and villages bombarded day and night by Gaddafi's brutal armed forces?
What about the thousands of unarmed civilians, including women and children, killed or maimed by the Libyan regime's fire power?!
What about those hundreds of women gang raped by Gaddafi's brutish soldiers as proven lately?!
Are you so biased as to forget all about these crimes against humanity?!
Can you imagine a worse regime than that of Gaddafi who sent armoured tanks, warplanes, mine-layers, and made use of missiles, grad rockets and foreign mercenaries to slaughter his own people who dared raise a cry for freedom and social justice?!
And stop mentioning God for your ulterior motives!
Shame on those who defend tyrants and despots the like of Gaddafi!
