CAMILLERI. On June 7, at Gozo General Hospital, JOSEPH, (ex-GO employee), aged 43, after a short illness, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family. He will be sorely missed by his wife Ċettina, his beloved children Rudolf and Sylvana, his mother Louise, his brother Christian and his wife Stephanie, his sister Dr Nadine Delicata and her husband Mark, his late brother Ivan’s widow Helen, his nephews and nieces Lara, Hannah, Beth, Sabine, Sam and Daphne, in-laws, relatives and friends. The funeral cortège leaves Gozo General Hospital tomorrow at 4.30 p.m. for the Collegiate Basilica of St George, Victoria, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 5 p.m., followed by interment at Victoria cemetery. A prayer for his repose is kindly solicited.

CASSAR. On June 8, ĠUŻA, aged 87, at Mater Dei Hospital, passed away peacefully ­­­comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her son Charles Cachia and his wife Mary Rose, her sister Ċensa Dalli and her children, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for St Peter’s parish church, Birżebbuġa where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment in the family grave at the Żurrieq cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

DELIA. On June 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, Fr FRANK DELIA, OFM Cap., aged 85, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss the Franciscan Capuchins, his sister Agnes, widow of Andrew, his sister Pia, widow of Carmelo, his sister Connie, wife of Philip and his brother Carmelo and his wife Marianne, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. The funeral will be held today at 9 a.m. at the Capuchin church, Għajn Dwieli, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.

MANGION. On June 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, CHARLES (Carmelo), widower of Marcella, nèe Falzon, of Marsa, aged 71, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his children Rosanna and her husband Andrew, Gejtu and his wife Jacqueline, Rupert and his wife Vincienne, Emanuel, husband of his late daughter Helen, his beloved grandchildren Alexia, Diane, Ylenia, Louana, Brenda, Marcelline, Miguel, Matthew and Gabriel, his nephews and nieces, brothers and sisters, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 8 a.m. for Maria Regina parish church, Marsa, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 8.45 a.m. followed by interment in the family grave Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. REFALO. On June 8, at Mater Dei Hospital, Perit MICHAEL A. (GINO), aged 78, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Anne, nèe Caze de Caumont, his children Fr Gordon (parish priest of Swatar), Ian and his partner Hazel, his sister Mariella Abela, his nieces Jocelyne and her husband Charles Hennen, Caroline and her husband Andrew Magri Overend, other relatives and friends. Birth of Italy

As part of the events celebrating the Unity of Italy 150 years ago, the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with the French and Austrian embassies, the British High Commission and the University, will hold a roundtable discussion on The Birth Of The Italian National State Within The European Balances. It will be held on June 13 at 6 p.m. at Aula Magna, St Paul Street, Valletta.
