The founding conference of theMaltese-Serbian Community (MSC) was held recently at Le Méridien Hotel, St Julian’s.

More than 60 participants attended the event to learn about the organisation and to discuss the possibilities of enhancing the cultural, economic and social cooperation between Malta and Serbia.

The focus was especially aimedon the role the community asfacilitators for closer integration and cooperation.

The conference kicked off with an introduction on the MSC by founding president Predrag Andrejevic.

Notable guest speakers included the non-resident Maltese Ambassador to Serbia Norman Rossignaud and consul of Serbia to Malta Gordon Pace Bonello.

Former foreign minister Alex Sceberras Trigona gave the closing address.

Dr Andrejevic then took questions and appealed to all those wishing to contribute to the community to contact the committee by e-mailing malteseserbiancommunity@gmail.com.
