Kayak feat for Puttinu Cares

Four paddlers are training for the Gasan Mamo Kayak for Cancer Challenge to be held towards the end of this month. Dorian Vassallo, Albert Gambina, Mark Bugeja and Michael Gellel will cross the Malta Channel.

The two teams will also be joined by Francesco Landolina and Salvatore Messina from the Circolo Canoa Catania.

Vassallo, an employee with Gasan Mamo, initiated a kayak endurance challenge in 2008 as a way of raising funds for charity after losing his wife to cancer.

This year the funds will go to Puttinu Cares.

Donations to the kayak challenge can be made by sending an SMS to 5061 7366 (€2.33); 5061 8075 (€4.66) or 5061 9208 (€11.65).

Cheques, payable to Puttinu Cares, are to be sent to Gasan Mamo Insurance Ltd, Head Office, Msida Road, Gżira.

One can also make a donation personally at one of Gasan Mamo’s branches.
