Malta Enterprise currently administers 26 incentive schemes for the benefit of the manufacturing sector. In 2011 the agency approved €5.4 million from EU funds and €32 million from national funds for a total of €37.4 million.

Since 2004 it administered seven other schemes, four of which were specifically for the tourism industry and three others for operators in the sector.

The total number of beneficiaries was 359.

The information was given by Finance Minister Tonio Fenech in reply to parliamentary questions by Anton Refalo (PL).
