Will the French Mirages be making any more emergency landings for refuelling in Malta, now that the price of fuel has gone up again?

Nevermind about diesel staying the same, what about the pollution of many old chilopies still running about in Gozo, some of these very OLD clapt out Picup trucks* resemble the same once the rebels use in Afghanistan. The last time some of my friends came over to Gozo i was a bit ashamed to show them gozo's heritage when all they seen was PickUP trucks galore some loaded with goats and sheep, one of them said why are the old trucks still on the roads with diesel fumes pouring out of them like nobody's business, they came over healthy went back chocked with carbon fumes and what not.

The only divorce Gonzi & CO agree to and FULLY supports is the divorce between us and our money. He likes seeing us getting "separated" from our money. That doesn't stay on his conscience , right?

aaah nice so finally petrol goes up and Diesel comes down. I am really happy as I am driving and old Diesel and thought the price must come down. So I waited to fuel up with my car and drove my Motorbike as much as I could.
The bike is petrol powered, but doesnt waist that much so the increase in petrol wont hurt me.
Well done and Thanks:)

I don't understand all this fuss. After all it is an increase of just a few Euro cents (would have been less than half in the old liri). Families are being destroyed not because of such increases, but because the wife who once made her hair once per month is now doing it per week and with it is also doing her fingers, hair waxing and fat removal and pretend to be taken out to eat more often (just to mention a few) - it is termed materialism I think.
I consider increases in fuels a blessing, more like a just tax (like the Vat system) where the rich who spend more are the ones who end contribute more to the economy. Unlike water and electricity consumption which has reduced after their increase in price, traffic congestion remains the norm meaning that fuel is still too cheap and one can still afford to use the car to go shopping just round the next corner. As such I suggest the authorities to increase fuel prices further (and maybe offset by reducing car licences prices) and also force those who are using a motorized bicycle to pay a licence just like others who are using a motorized vechile. I ask if there is any difference between a 50cc scooter/motorcycle and such mopeds which are being fitted with such engines, sometimes even bigger.

Dear Mr Agius,
I have been working our organisations costing this morning and we will be revising up the price of certain services we offer that are delivery based.
Additionally the issue of materialism does not stand. Even if there is not that much materialism in place certain things are simply too expensive compared to our incomes. To speak in your terms one finds himself living on a lower social scale as he has greater opportunity costs. Your materialism argument should have been. Previously one afforded to make her hair and nails weekly whilst now it is monthly and not vice versa. This is because once you go up the ladder of society you never want to go down.
This is what is happening to many. Their life is getting worse of due to greater opportunity cost.
I hope that next time you find a service has increased in price you will be happy to pay the increased cost and defend the operator.
